Below you will find the list of all breeds we currently accept for registration in the cyber horse club. If the breed of horse you want is not in the list below, you can start a thread on the forum to have it accepted. To start a breed acceptance thread you need the following info about the breed: Link to official breed standard & link(s) to some informative history on the breed.

Horse Breeds

Horse Breed Accepted Colors
Akhal-teke (akt) Any color is acceptable, as is any combination of white markings. The characteristic “metallic gleam” is a desirable feature
Alter-real (atr) Brown/bay, dapple grey
American Mustang (amm)  
Andalusian (alu) Black, grey, bay
Appaloosa (app) Recognised Appaloosa patterns
Arabians (ara) Chestnut, grey, bay, brown and black. White facial and leg markings are common. Patches, spots, flecks and ticking also occur. (Ticking is commonly mistaken for roan - a colour which does not occur in Arabians)
Berber horse Bay, black-bay, black, chestnut, grey dapple
Budjonni chestnut, bay. Mostly with a golden shine.
Cleveland bay (clb) Bay. White markings not liked, but small ones permitted.
Criollo Grey/brown with dark limbs, mane and tail and dorsal stripe, red, grey dapple, dark chestnut, palomino. white markings common.
Donau Horse Black, dark bay
Don horse All clean colors
Einsiedler All clean colors
Finn horse (fih) Chestnut, flaxen chestnut, bay, and black.
Frederiksborgs (fre) Chestnut, bay, black, buckskin, palomino. Chestnut is most common and grey is not possible.
Friesian (fri) Black, a small star is permissible.
Furioso Black, bay, dark bay
Gelderland horse Chestnut, grey dapple.
Groningen Black, bay
Hanoverian (han) All clean colors
Holstein horse All clean colors
Irish Draught Horse Bay, chestnut, grey dapple
Icelandic horse (ice) All colors and patterns, except sabino
Kabarda horse Bay, black, dark bay, grey dapple
Kentucky saddle horse (ksh) Black, bay, chestnut, liver
Karabakh horse Liver, chestnut, bay, grey dapple. Often with golden shine.
Kiger Mustang (kim)  
Kladruby horse Grey dapple, black
Knabstrupp horse (knp) Appaloosa patterns on dapple base.
Lipizzan horses (lip) The grey color is dominant. Brown and black occur
Lusitano (lus) Any solid colour. Grey is the most common
Missouri Fox Trotter (mft)  
Murakosi Chestnut often with light mane and tail, bay, grey dapple, black
Morgan horses (mgh) All colors and patterns, except tobiano
Oldenburg horse (old) All clean colors
Paso Fino (pfo) Every equine color can be found, with or without white markings
Pintos (pin) (Paint) Multi colored
Poitevin Liver, bay, red dapple
Quarter horses (qua) All clean colors
Russian coldblood horse Clean colors
Salerno horse All clean colors
Shagya Arabian (sha) Almost only grey dapple
Selle Francais (sef) (anglonorman/French riding horse) Most common bay or chestnut, but can have all colors
Standardbred (American Thoroughbreed) (stb)  
Tennesee Walking Horse (twh) All clean colors, but can be dapple
Thoroughbreeds (thb) Black, bay, chestnut, grey dapple
Trakehner (trk) All clean colors
Waler (wlr) Bay, chestnut, black, brown and grey - white allowed on head/legs

Dartmoor pony (dmo) Breed standard

Fell pony (fll) Commonly black, more rare dark bay or grey dapple. white markings can happen, but are not liked.
Finn horse (fih) Breed standard
Gotland russ Bay, black, chestnut, grey dapple. Can be palomino.
Haflinger (haf) Breed standard
Highland pony (hip) Breed standard
Icelandic horse (ice) All colors and patterns, except sabino
Konik pony All shades of liver, often with dorsal stripe.
New Forest pony (nwf) Registry with color information
New Foundland pony Color information
Norwegian Fjord horse (nfh) Breed standard
Pinto (pin) (Paint, Amercian paint horse) Multi colored.
Shetland pony (shp) All colors, also multi colored, but most common is black and bay.
Waler (wlr) Breed standard
Welsh pony all sections (wls) Breed standard

Belgian/Brabantian horse (bgd) Bay dapple, chestnut dapple, bay, liver, grey dapple.
Boulonnais horse Mostly grey dapple, sometimes chestnut or bay.
Clydesdales (cly) Breed standard
Dutch Draft Horse (ddh) Chestnut, bay, roan, grey, black
Finn horse (fih) Breed standard
Friesian (fri) Black, a small star is permissible.
Gypsy Vanners (Irish Cob, Tinker) (gyv) Piebald and skewbald most common, but all colors accepted.
Haflinger (haf) Breed standard
Jutland horses (jut) Chestnut, bay are rare, and black even more.
Norwegian Fjord horses (nfh) Breed standard
Percheron horse (pch) Grey dapple, black
Shire horse (shi) Breed standard
Suffolk punch (sch) Always chestnut, but there are 7 shades. No markings, exept a small star or stripe.

Dressage All horse and pony breeds, no heavy draft horses and trotters
Jumping All horse and pony breeds, no heavy draft horses and trotters
Dressage driving All breeds
Obstacle/Cone driving All breeds
Distance driving Horses with a high stamina
TB, Arabian and Quarter horse racing These are breed specific for the 3 breeds mentioned
Endurance racing This is a very hard discipline for the horse and takes light horses with much stamina, like Akhal-Tekes, Arabians and Thoroughbreds, but other breeds can be seen too
Harness/Trotting races Standardbred/American Thoroughbreds and other trotting breeds
Pony trotting/harness racing Various smaller pony breeds
Western Pleasure Waler, Quarter Horse, Pinto, Appaloosa, Criollo, Arabian, Morgan, Mustang
Timber pulling Draft horses only
Heavy load driving Draft horses only
