Generator Slots Placings
Number of Slots
Total Placings
Remember, slots are the total number of entries in the competition. If a horse or pony has 100-199 points, they get two slots, 200-299, three slots, etc. Placings are how many winning spots there will be. Placings are determined in sets of 5. 1-5 horses/ponies is one placing, 6-10 horses/ponies there are three placings. From here, for every new set of five, you add another placing.

Any easy way to determine the number of placings is to take the total number of participants (not total number of slots!) and subtract one from the total. Then divide by 5, leaving the remainder off, and then add two. This only works if you have more than 5 participants.

Example: If there are 21 participants, there would be 6 placings. (21-1)/5=4 + 2 = 6

Events

All events are announced at and run on the official CHC message board. When points won at events have been added to the registry, an asterisk (*) mark will be placed after the subject title on the message board so everyone knows the points have been taken care of. If two weeks have passed and you still do not notice points have been added, please get in contact with Cynther through PM.

Events held by the CHC itself are open to all horses and ponies eligible for that event (eg: a dressage horse can not enter a driving event). Events held by Group and Breed clubs may not be entered by horses "permanently" entered in events. Please see (PAGE?) about permanently registered horses.

Breed clubs and group clubs should be sure to hold events for all disciplines their group/breed covers. Events may or may not be broken or arranged into multiple classes, and an event's host may choose to have multiple levels of any event (eg: one for horses, one for ponies - or just one for both). Be sure to check eligibility notices for each event before entering.

Events are divided into multiple classes if enough horses have entered an event. If an event is divided, two rules have to be followed:
-Classes may only be split per 100 points (eg: 0-100 class, 101-200 class, etc)
-Point groups with less than five (5) horses may not be divided

The CHC currently has the following disciplines:
Dressage, Jumping, Dressage Driving, Obstacle/Cone Driving, Distance Driving, TB Racing, Arabian Racing, Quarter Horse Racing, Endurance Racing, Harness/Trotting Races, Western Pleasure, Timber Pulling, Heavy Load Driving.
Please check the
Breeds Page for more information about which discipline to choose for your horse

Judging

All events must be judged with a randomizer for fairness. Horses between 0-100 points get one chance at winning. If a horse has over 100 points, that horse gets two chances at winning. Over 200, three chances-- and so on.

The number of horses in an event decides how many winners there will be:
1-5 horses: 1 winner/placing
6-10 horses: 3 winners/placings
11-15 horses: 4 winners/placings
16-20 horses: 5 winners/placings
21-25 horses: 6 winners/placings
26-30 horses: 7 winners/placings
...and etc.

Points awarded are not dependant upon number of horses entering. A first place always gets the same amount of points, even if it was the only horse entering that event. Points are awarded as follows:
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 9 points
3rd place: 8 points
4th place: 7 points
5th place: 6 points
6th place: 5 points
7th place: 4 points
8th place: 3 points
9th place: 2 points
10th place and below: 1 point

Special Events

Conformation Shows
Conformation shows in real life are about how well a particular horse follows a breed's specific standard. For fairness, these are done randomly in the CHC instead of trying to judge an image. Each horse can participate in three (3) shows in its showing career with the club. Each horse can get a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place; the last placing is the one that counts. Our registry shows a horse's latest placing and how many times it has been in the conformation shows.

Conformation placings count as follows: 1st place: Offspring from this horse get +10 points when born.
2nd place: Offspring get +5 points.
3rd place: No bonus.

Three Day Events
Three day events allow horses and ponies to participate in another discipline besides their chosen one. Only riding disciplined horses can enter these events (dressage, jumping, racing). Each discipline is randomly judged on its own and horses are given points according to placing. The three parts are dressage, jumping, and terrain jumping. If a horse in the event has a corresponding discipline (aka: Andy the horse is a jumper and we're doing the jumping part) s/he gets an extra event number and chance to place higher than the other, non-jumping horses.

In the end, points from all three disciplines are added together for each horse and the ones with the most points are the winners. Points from the horses will then be added to the registry per normal CHC event rules.

Herding Events
This event is currently being re-constructed.
Breeder's Cup
The Cyber Horse Club Breeder's Cup is an annual event (run in December) to reward the best breeder in the club. The winner recieves 1,000 EG and a graphic to place on his or her stables' website.

Each Stable enters five (5) home-bred horses of any breed or breeds that are currently owned by the stable.
Each horse recieves points according to their discipline and generation-- discipline points are what are listed in the registry and each generation gives the horse 10 more points (ie: 1st gen = +10 points, 2nd gen = +20 points, etc).
The top three horses from each stable then have their points combined for a final score and the stable with the highest points wins!

Clubs

There are two types of clubs in the CHC, group clubs and breed clubs. Clubs can host shows for points, trophies, or money giveaways. To own a club, you must:
-Be an active member for at least 3 months
-Understand the judging rules
-Show yourself to be a reliable person

Club events must be posted at least 48 hours before they are run, and are judged the same as regular CHC events.

Group Clubs
Group clubs are for a group or type of horse/pony/draft, often based around discipline.
Current clubs:
Driving Club run by Cynther
Racing Club run by Lessa Lynn

Breed Clubs
Breed clubs are for only one breed of horse. Breeds of horses with 10 or more registered, owned by 2 or more members, are eligible to have a breed club formed.
Current Clubs:
Friesian Club run by Cynther
Pinto Club run by Lessa Lynn
Welsh Pony Club run by Junipur
Frederiksborg Club run by Junipur
Percheron Club run by Lessa Lynn
