Before you apply to join the CHC, please make sure to read through our rules.
Stables
- Your stable must be hosted on a website. No message boards, neopets, blogs, etc.
- You can make the stable the way you want it, but it has to have the following: 1 or more pages with your horses and all of their information, a link to the CHC, and a link with your email address.
- No horse can be registered before it is up on your stable, and a horse does not exist in the CHC until it is registered.
- No member is allowed to run more than 1 stable.
Horses
- When you join the club for the first time, you are allowed to make 2 foundation horses, of any breed you wish, exept the ones listed as not open for foundations. These foundations have the 200 equigold fee waived, but have to be registered within 2 weeks of your joining date.
- If you no longer want a horse not bred by you, you have to first give the breeder the option of buying the horse back. If they are not interested, or there is no way to contact them, then you can sell it to someone else.
- All horses/ponies have to be linked back to the breeder.
- In this game horses do not die or retire at certain ages, unless the owner decides to do so.
- You can only register breeds currently listed on the breeds page.
Breeding
- A mare can have 5 foals in her "lifetime" and a stallion can have 10 offspring in his "lifetime."
- A horse can not be breed untill 2 months after it is born.
- The breeder of the horse is responsible for registering the horse, when a horse changes owner, it is the old owner who has to send in the owner change information.
- Each mare can have 1 foal at a time. The member who owns or is currently leasing the mare is the breeder of the foal and decides if he/she will keep the foal or trade it off for another foal/horse/pony/stud service.
- A mare can have 1 foal, every 2 months in real time.
- The CHC does not allow cross breeding, because it messes up the registry system, and since these are cyber horses, there is no need for it.
- If you want a more realistic idea of what coat colors could be produced from a pairing, use this online coat color generator.
- As of January 1st, 2010 we are starting cooporation with NONS, which is the Danish cyber horse club. This means that if you want to breed one of your horses but can not find the right horse, now you can also use horses that are registered and conformation tested in NONS. In the same manner, members of NONS can use horses from the CHC which are conformation tested and have a 1. or 2. placing, or have 100+ points from events. How to go around "paying" for the use of the horse is something the owners will have to work out between themselves.
Naming
- All foundation horses can only have their own name, no suffix and no prefix.
- All horses born at your stable, which means you own/are leasing the dam at the time the horse is registered, will have the suffix of your stable name.
- You can, under no circumstances, add your stable name, as suffix or prefix, to any horses not born in your stable.
Events
- For each horse/pony, you have to select one discipline. That is the one this horse can participate in events for. The discipline has to be posted with the rest of the horse's information.
- A horse can only get a discipline that one of its parents had, which means if both parents have the same discipline, that is the one the horse gets.
- Each stable can enter up to 10 individual horses in each event.
- A horse has to be at least 2 months old to participate in events.
- When a person has been an active CHC member for 6 months, they can start a group or breed club.
- At least 2 times a year, there will be conformation judgings. In these the horses can get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. These are determined randomly by rolling a di, and will only be held by the CHC owners.
- In addition to the normal events, there will also be held special events.
- In the fall there will be hunts, no horse can specialise in hunting, and the winnings will be plaques to put on your site.
Each member can only enter 1 horse in a hunt.
There will also be 3 day events/military, in these each member can only enter 2 horses, as no one can manage to ride more than 2 horses at a time in these.
The 3 day/military events are special in that way, that they can be used for a horse to switch discipline or have 2 disciplines.
All horses can be entered into these events, no matter what discipline they have.
Points
- When a new horse is registered, the points of both parents are added together, then divided by 4, and added to a random number between 1 and 100 and that is the points the horse is born with.
- If the foals parents have placed in any conformation showings, the following amount of points are then added to that initial number - 1st place: Offspring from this horse get +10 points when born. 2nd place: Offspring get +5 points. 3rd place: No bonus.
- Only foals bred from parents with points get points.
- A foundation horse always starts at 0 points.
- The more points a horse has, the more chances it has for winning in the events, and the more points its offspring will be born with.
- When a horse reaches 500 points, and it has a 1. place in conformation, it can try for a champion title, and if it gets it, it will be allowed to breed 1 extra time.
- When the horse reaches 1000 points, and has a 1. place in conformation, it can try for a Grand champion title, and if it gets it, it will be allowed 2 extra breedings.
- A horse does not have to have a champion title to try for a Grand champion title.
To join the CHC you need to have a working website where you can keep your horses.bYou have to love horses, and want to meet some new poeple who also do, and then you have to have fun. :) If you can do all this, send an e-mail with the following information:
The name you will be known as in the club and on our message board has to be the same both places.
Your preferred stable name, which will also be what all the horses you breed will have after their own name and the URL of your stable.
The breed/s of your 2 foundation horses, or if you are rejoining, the breeds that are your main focus.
Your 2 free foundations have to be registered within 2 weeks of you joining, after that you pay the same amount of EG that anyone else for foundations.
Some good, free, places to make a website are angelfire and freewebs, but there are others, and of course you can always buy your own domain :)

How did you find the CHC?
When you send in this form, you accept the rules of the CHC.
If you no longer want a horse not bred by you, you have to first give the breeder the option of buying the horse back.
If they are not interested, or there is no way to contact them, then you can sell it to someone else.
If someone who has horses from you leaves the club, or becomes inactive, you can claim the horses back, and keep them or readopt them out.
Send the e-mail to Lessa Lynn
If you are rejoining the CHC you should be aware of the following:
Inactive members are members who have not shown any activity for a long time, members whose stables suddenly disappear, or members who ask to be made inactive.
Horses owned by inactive members will be made inactive. The horses will be deleted if they:
- Have no offspring
- Their parents are not CHC registered
Inactive members should be aware that the breeders/creaters of their horses can take them back, without having to pay you any amount of EG to do so. If you have become inactive and are rejoining the CHC, you may reactivate your horses that are still listed in the registry. You can only reactivate your foundation horses if there are still open foundation spots in their breed.
